Advancing your Career Through Volunteering – ACCESS
This presentation/workshop is intended to provide participants with an insight into why and how volunteering may promote career advancement. Through a brief review of the findings of selected employer research, the participant will gain an understanding of the perception of the value of structured volunteer activities as viewed by many corporate executives and human resources departments. Furthermore, participants will be offered information on local and regional resources for finding volunteering opportunities.
John Fields works on special projects for ACCESS in cooperation with ACCESS Executive Director, including presentations. John is a retired American and has had expat experiences in India and France before relocating to the Netherlands in 2013 and joining the ACCESS organization in 2014. His background includes hospital administration and medical software design and management.
