The 1.5-metres distancing rule is mandatory again in the Netherlands, including the mandatory use of face masks in more places. The coronavirus entry pass will also be required at more locations. Extra attention must be paid to the basic rules, such as wash your hands thoroughly and regularly, or cough/sneeze into your elbow. You are also advised to not shake hands. An EU entry ban is in effect for people from countries outside the European Union. This means they are not allowed to enter the EU or the Schengen area and therefore the Netherlands. There are exemptions to the entry ban. People arriving from certain countries who have been fully vaccinated can enter the Netherlands for example.

Travellers arriving in the Netherlands from certain countries and regions should self-quarantine for 10 days. Even if you do not have any symptoms. You can get tested on the 5th day after arrival to shorten the quarantine period. Once in the Netherlands, you can self-quarantine at home or in temporary or holiday accommodation.
